We would love to have you assist with our financial needs. But before you get going, we would appreciate it if you could contact our Executive Director with the details of your activity and whether or not you require any assistance from us. We also are required by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to follow guidelines if your donors require tax receipts. Please review the following information. If you require clarification on this process we would suggest that you contact the Senior Business Manager.
In order to issue receipts we require a copy of any cheques, Visa slips, etc. to prove that the donation actually took place. Any monetary donation over $20.00 will be receipted. If your donors have donated items other than gift certificates we require a list of donated items and their value. CRA states that gift certificates cannot be receipted, nor can contribution of services. (see CRA Reference Number CPC-017)
